In his letter of April 24, Mark Tardif of Waterville lamented the great success being enjoyed by conservative talk radio hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham. He went on to say that, “Organized coordination of political messages is the only way to explain why Hannity offers the same talking points at 4 p.m. that Ingraham did at 9:30 a.m.”

What may be confusing to Tardif is that Hannity and Ingraham are engaging in a concept that Tardif and many of his liberal left-wing ilk seldom allow to stand in the way of their lies, distortions of fact, and fantasies. It is called “truth.” It remains the same at 4 p.m. as it was at 9:30 a.m. Truth does not dilute itself with the passing of time.

Right-wing propaganda radio, as Tardif calls it, although quite different in content, is very similar in purpose to left- wing propaganda radio, such as Air America. Except, that the former is highly successful because it spreads truth and facts, while the latter is headed for the tank, mainly due to its format of incessant and vitriolic bashing of America.

Most Americans don’t want to listen to their country constantly being trashed.

Conservative talk radio proffers an entertaining, yet informative alternative.
