AUBURN – Senior students from Buckfield Junior/Senior, Edward Little, Leavitt Area and Lewiston high schools were honored by the Mary Dillingham Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, at the April meeting.

The ceremony to honor the students with Good Citizen and Good Citizenship awards, pins and medals took place at the Auburn Public Library. Parents, family members and teachers were present.

The students were chosen by fellow students and faculty for being good citizens of their schools and community. The Good Citizen Award is given through the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Good Citizenship Medal is given by the local chapter through the National Defense Committee of the DAR.

The requirements for both are dependability, leadership, service and patriotism.

All accredited high schools are eligible to nominate seniors for the annual awards. They also have a chance to enter for a scholarship.
