GARDINER – The Open Book Players will present the classic children’s story “Charlotte’s Web” Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18, at Johnson Hall.

This beloved story by E. B. White has been adapted for readers theater and is directed by Lucy Rioux. The production features 16 local performers ranging in age from 7 to 13 who play multiple roles throughout the show.

Actors include Taylor James Crawford of Belgrade; Gabrielle Cooper, Pittston; Kathryn Wright and Olivia Merrill, Gardiner; Sojourn and Maya Bentley, Readfield; and Elijah Washburn, Gwenyth and Kenyon Fraser, Rebecca Soule, Christiana and Michaela Daigle, Isaac Fair, Mikahla Searles, Sarah Carpenter, and Hannah Nadeau, all of Litchfield.

Technical crew members are Lyn Ballou, Cindy Turcotte, Katie MacLagan and Heather White.
