AUBURN – The Drama Society at St. Dominic Regional High School will present “School House Rock Live!,” an Emmy Award-winning musical based on the 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series, Friday and Saturday, May 30-31.

Tom, a teacher nervous about his first day of school, tries to relax by watching TV when characters, representing various aspects of his personality, emerge from the set. These characters show him how to win over his students with imagination and music by singing beloved songs, including “Conjunction Junction,” “Just a Bill” and “Unpack your Adjectives.”

Using 21 clever, tuneful songs, the show will teach the audience about government, history, grammar, science and math.

Cast members from St. Dominic Regional High School and Trinity Elementary School include Kay Burns, Pablo Barajas, Maisy Cyr, Samantha Laverdiere, Beth St. Hilaire, Kyle Grant, Delton Hulbert and Jeff Ahlquiest. The show is directed by David Locke with choreography by Monica Michaud.
