AUBURN – Dillingham and Son ended the opening third of the Auburn Suburban Little League Minor Division baseball season with an 11-9 over Pat’s Pizza. Sam Rideout enjoyed a perfect 4-for-4 night at the plate, while Tyler Blanchard went 3-for-4 in the win.

Previously, Dillingham rallied to defeat M&P Auto, 11-10.

Rideout again was 4-for-4, with Seth Webster going 3-for-3. Donnie Peterson andSam Michaud each ripped three hits for M&P.

Apple Valley Babe Ruth

SABATTUS – Jim Theriault inherited two runners with none out in the bottom of the seventh and recorded the tough save for Winthrop in a 5-3 win over Sabattus.

Ryan Conant was the winning pitcher for Winthrop, striking out eight and allowing only two hits through four innings. Theriault struck out two in the seventh to close the door. Conant and Travis Sherman contributed a key hit. Theriault scored two runs. Plourde, Morin, Martin and Madore were the top hitters for Sabattus. Plourde fanned seven in four innings of work on the hill.

In other Apple Valley action, Eben Ballard picked up the pitching win with plenty of support in Maranacook’s 22-1 win over Monmouth. Duplissie was a home run away from the cycle in the contest. Gibson added three hits and Robinson two hits, while Lachance and Palmer joined Duplissie with triples.
