Fortier chapter of Association Canado-Americane

LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will gather at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.

Following the monthly business meeting, members will have refreshments. More information on the meeting or the ACA in general is available by contacting Chapter President Jeanne Poulin at 783-0635 or Vice President Gerry Legare at 783-0606.

The group will go on hiatus for the summer. Their next meeting is scheduled for September.

Androscoggin Pomona Grange

GREENE – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, June 4, at Androscoggin Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. During the the meeting, which will begin at 7:30, election of officers will be held. The program will consist of a memorial service conducted by Chaplain Susanne Verrill, an attendance drawing and a 50/50 raffle. All members and guests are welcome.

Cub Scouts to hold field day

LEWISTON – Cub Scout Pack 116 will hold a field day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 62 Strawberry Ave.

Boys entering grades one through five this coming year who would like to become a Scout are invited to attend. There will be games, activities, pie-throwing, hiking, food and an obstacle course.

There will be plenty of Scouts there to discuss the scouting activities that go on throughout the year.

They include service projects, fundraisers, field trips, camping trips, weekly meetings and earning awards and badges. To learn more about Pack 116, visit www.GoPack116.com.

Classic car show

AUBURN – The fourth annual Classic Car Show will be held starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 8, sponsored by the Auburn Wal-Mart in their parking lot. Registration entry fee is a vehicle and admission for spectators is $1.

There will be music, prizes and giveaways, 50/50 raffle and a cookout at 10 a.m. It will be held rain or shine, with proceeds to benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.
