FARMINGTON – The Farmington Ski Club will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Titcomb Mountain Lodge, West Farmington. It is open to all current Farmington Ski Club members.

The annual meeting will include an informational review of the past year and discussion of plans for next season. There will also be a review and full club vote on the proposed budget for next year, and election of board of director members.

The Farmington Ski Club was formed in 1939 by a small group of Farmington residents skiing on nearby Voter Hill. In 1948, 135 acres of the Knapp Farm were purchased by the club and the area was dedicated as the John Abbott Titcomb Memorial Ski Slope.

The club and slope has grown over the years, improving the alpine and Nordic trail system, adding snowmaking, expanding the lodge, improving the lifts and grooming equipment. The Farmington Ski Club continues to offer recreation through the efforts of club and community volunteers.
