BRUNSWICK – The Center Stage Players, an ensemble of local actors who perform with scripts in hand, will present “Relationships” Wednesday and Thursday, June 11 and 12, at The Theater Project.

Two of the three plays in “Relationships” are original scripts written by members of the company. “Alexander Stands Up,” the first of three one-act plays, was written by Edie Hazard, a veteran playwright with the company. Kathleen and John Sutherland, Lollie Brown, Rodney Sarle, Vivian Kemp and Victoria Kadziauskas are cast members in this piece about a possessive mother, a straining-to-be independent son and friends who look on eagerly.

“Ruff and Arf,” the second play, is the work of Ann Cort. Ruff and Arf are two characters of a particularly canine nature who have to think fast to get what they want. Millie Ackley and Susan White are Ruff and Arf, John Sutherland plays Bull and playwright Ann Cort is Yip Yap in this hilarious look at life from a dog’s perspective.

“I’m Herbert” stars Joan Brewer and Rodney Sarle as an elderly couple trying their best to make each other understand what really happened in their lives. This is a hilarious glimpse of a long and lively relationship.

“Relationships” will be presented at 2 p.m. at the theater at 14 School St. A donation of $5 is recommended to help The Center Stage Players and The Theater Project continue their collaboration. No reservations necessary. For more information, call 729-8584.
