PARIS – With more repairs yet to come, Oxford County commissioners approved approximately $15,000 to patch up the Oxford County Regional Airport on Tuesday night.

Commissioners accepted a $13,250 proposal from Marwin Construction to remove underground piping at the airport. The pipes remained in place after fuel tanks were moved, and the state Department of Environmental Protection has ordered the county to remove the pipes before Aug. 25.

The commissioners also approved a final remediation of $2,800 to remove mold on walls in the airport buildings. The process will take place after the airport’s roof is fixed.

The board has yet to approve repairs to the roof at the airport facility, which has sprung leaks after the winter snow.
