HANOVER – At a special town meeting on Monday night, 18 voters unanimously OK’d entering into a second 10-year contract with Med-Care Ambulance Service. There was no discussion.
“It’s all been discussed in the papers, so everyone was in favor of it,” First Selectman Bruce Powell said by phone Tuesday afternoon.
Residents also OK’d a proposed $275,000 Hanover School Committee budget, which is down from about $400,000 last year, Powell added.
He attributed the decrease to a drop in enrollment and carryover from last year’s budget. Hanover pays tuition for its students to attend SAD 43 in Rumford.
