LEWISTON – Mystery for Hire will present the murder-mystery show “Marriage Can Be Murder,” interactive murder-mystery dinner theater, Friday, June 6, at Marco’s Restaurant.

“This is an all-time favorite for many people,” said Dan Marois, who with his wife, Denise, owns and operates Mystery for Hire, a dinner theater troupe formed in 1995. “Audiences like the wedding theme and they like the fact that this wedding day doesn’t go quite according to plan.”

In “Marriage Can Be Murder,” audience members find themselves attending the wedding of Rachel Levine and Sam Zardo in an “over-the-top” Italian wedding setting. Unlike a more formal show where actors perform on a stage, dinner theater is performed among the audience throughout the entire dining room and between courses of the meal.

Cast members besides Dan and Denise Marois of Poland, are Julie Poulin of Monmouth, Brian Files of Gardiner, Chuck Waterman of Gorham, Bob Hazelton of Yarmouth and Anne Morin of Biddeford.

Doors will open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $36.95 per person, which includes the mystery show, full buffet, tax and gratuity. For reservations, call 783-0336. Marco’s is on Mollison Way.
