HARRISON – The Naples Public Library will present a benefit concert featuring the live music of singer-songwriter Heather Pierson Wednesday, July 2, at Deertrees Theatre.

In a career spanning two decades, Pierson has shared the stage with rock stars and folk legends; performed in recital halls; sung in sacred rituals and ceremonies; toured the New England bottle club circuit; produced five solo recordings and founded her own record label, Vessel Recordings.

Music is her passion. Her live performances incorporate her abilities at the piano, guitar, drums and vocals, and cover a range of styles from blues to jazz, folk to world beat and new age.

Her unique brand of instrumental piano music is at times lilting and tranquil, other times brimming with angst. Her songs celebrate and affirm the highest of ideals: community, harmony, health, happiness and peace.

At the July 2 concert, Pierson will debut some of her new songs and compositions which, in her words, “are unlike anything my fans have ever heard me do before.”

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, with proceeds benefiting the Naples Public Library. They may be purchased at the library, Morning Dew Natural Foods in Bridgton and Books N Things in Norway.
