SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Kathryn Cook, raised in Rangeley, has joined the staff of the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute, headquartered in Syracuse, as a curriculum development specialist. She will telecommute and also travel throughout the U.S. as her work requires.

Cook is a nationally recognized trainer in the areas of transporting students with disabilities, instructor training and curriculum design. She lives in Sugar Land, Texas.

She pursued advanced study in educational administration at the University of Southern Maine and the University of Houston. Former positions include curriculum coordinator, special education director, and quality assurance manager for the Maine Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, and as a consultant for Region 4 Education Service Center, Houston, Texas. She is also president/CEO of Cook Consulting Inc. in Sugar Land.
