PORTLAND – Maine Employers’ Mutual Insurance Company announces that Steve Prue has been named as president of the Maine Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society. Prue was inducted at the Maine Chapter meeting May 15.
The CPCU Society is a membership of more than 28,000 credentialed insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education. The society’s members hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, the industry’s premier designation that is conferred by the American Institute for CPCU.
Prue, an executive underwriter with MEMIC since 1998, attained his CPCU designation in 1995.
Prior to joining MEMIC, he worked at Hanover Insurance as a commercial lines underwriter. He and his wife and children live in Auburn.
