AUBURN – The Rev. David R. Clark will give the sermon and conduct the service at the annual Penley Corner Church of Auburn all-faith service to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday July 13.
Clark was born and raised in Massachusetts. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Gordon College, his master’s degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and his doctorate from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Clark began his church ministry as a youth pastor in Momence, Ill., where he was ordained in 1978. In 1979 he assumed the pastorate at First Baptist Church, Stayner, Ontario, Canada.
Since 1988, he has pastored churches in Maine: Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Hollis; First Baptist Church, Nobleboro; and Ogunquit Baptist Church. He is currently pastor of Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn.
Clark and his wife, Wandah, live in Auburn and have three adult children.
Others taking part will include Marge Perkins, pianist; Norman Rose, melodeon; Elaine Penley Ordway, guest book; Elaine Sylvester, refreshments; Maurice Penley and Paul Penley, ushers.
All are invited to stay after the service for fellowship and refreshments.
