SOUTH PARIS – Jim Davis, chief quality inspector at Maine Machine Products Co., was recently recognized as a designated quality representative on behalf of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., based in Stratford, Conn.

Davis has been employed at Maine Machine Products for 30 years, and is responsible for applying statistical process control techniques to monitor the quality and repeatability of the manufacturing process. To qualify as a DQR, Davis recently completed a two-day training course in Connecticut, where he finished with the highest score of the group. His new designation allows him to perform final inspection and approval on behalf of Sikorsky Aircraft at Maine Machine Products. Sikorsky Aircraft is one of MMPCo’s newest customers. MMPCo received AS9100 certification in 2007; a prerequisite for supplying products to the aerospace industry.

Davis lives in Norway with his wife.
