RUMFORD – The wedding of Amanda Lynn Carey and Justin James Packard was held at 5 p.m., March 15, at the Rumford Eagles Hall. Carol Cochran, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Packard is the daughter of Ed and Kathy Carey of Rumford. Mr. Packard is the son of Belinda Packard and Larry Snowman of Dixfield.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin A-line halter gown with split front, beaded lace and lace-up back with chapel train. She carried three long-stemmed white roses with baby’s breath.

Shannon Westleigh, friend, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Brianna Garcia, friend, and Kristin Gould and Beth MacFarlane, cousins.

Performing the duties of best man was Leo Kersey III, friend. Ushers were Eric Kersey and Josh Saphier, friends, and Chad Snowman, brother.

A reception followed at the Eagles Hall, after which the couple traveled across the country to Idaho, where they are residing.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and attended the University of Maine at Augusta.

The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Dirigo High School and is serving with the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
