FARMINGTON – Heather Davis has been named as executive director of the Healthy Community Coalition, according to Franklin Community Health Network President Richard Batt. Davis is a native Mainer who grew up in Augusta and is excited to be back in the area.

During the past 10 years, Davis has provided leadership as director of several public health initiatives for a large rural region of Alaska. Her responsibilities have included program development and management, policy advocacy, collaboration, program planning and evaluation, and community capacity building. While there, Davis led programs around tobacco prevention, cardiovascular disease prevention, and HIV/AIDs case management.

Davis received her master’s degree from Boston University in public health with a concentration in health policy and management, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Maine in social work.
