MADISON (AP) – Police are seeking two men who held up a tiny credit union in Madison, then fled in a car with three other occupants.

The Wednesday morning holdup was the third in the past four years at the Franklin Somerset Federal Credit Union on Main Street.

The robbers displayed a gun during the robbery and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police Chief Barry Moores described the robbers as young black males between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall with slim builds and wearing hooded sweatshirts.

Moores said the suspects fled into woods behind the bank on foot and then made their getaway in a brown car that was waiting at a boat landing on the Kennebec River.
