GREENE – A surprise party was held June 8 for Roger and Madeleine Cote of Greene, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Party hosts were daughters and their husbands, Diane and Joseph McIntire Sr., and Denise and Steve Simard. The event was held at the McIntire home in Leeds.
Decorations were in the 50th anniversary theme. Toastmaster was Denise Simard.
Mr. Cote and the former Madeleine Rivard were married June 14, 1958, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.
In addition to their daughters, their grandchildren are Jessica Tucker and Jeffrey Machia. They also have a great-granddaughter, Jordan Marie Tucker.
Mr. Cote enjoys fishing, four-wheeling and spending time with his family.
Mrs. Cote is a board member and volunteer for SeniorsPlus, and enjoys spending time with her family.
