Charges are pending against a 57-year-old Norway area man following an early Sunday morning wreck on Round the Pond Road that required rescue crews to remove him from his vehicle via the Jaws of Life.

Officer Ron Cole of the Norway Police Department reported that Brian LeBlanc was driving his 1995 4-door Saturn northbound on Round the Pond Road at about 1 a.m. Sunday when he drove off the road, hit an embankment, rolled over and came to rest on the driver’s side. LeBlanc had to be removed by mechanical means. He was transported to Stevens Memorial Hospital in Norway where he was treated and released with minor injuries.

Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
