MANCHESTER – Angela Cole Westhoff has been hired as executive director of the Maine Osteopathic Association. Westhoff holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in communication from the University of Maine, with concentrations in health communication and public relations.

For the past four years, she was the executive director of the Healthy Androscoggin Community Coalition, a non-profit public health agency. While there, she directed the day-to-day operations, served as media spokesperson and legislative advocate.

She also was the former director of the Healthy Maine Partnership at Bridgton Hospital and served as assistant director of the teen and young adult health program at the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. She has also worked in the college career-counseling field while serving as the premedical and sciences assistant director at Bates College, and the health adviser at the University of Maine.

Westhoff lives in Poland with her husband and daughter.
