RUMFORD – Brochures on the Black Mountain Family Fun Festival are online at [email protected]. They include details about the array of activities for the family that will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at the mountain.

A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. At 8 riders will peddle off for a Century Bike Trek of 25, 50 or 100 miles. A 1K race/fun run and a 5K race will begin at 9 and 9:30 respectively.

Throughout the morning there will be biathlon, Nordic walking, fly casting and fly tying demonstrations. A foliage hike and a kids trail ride will be guided. The River Valley Chowder Challenge will be back from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
