RANGELEY – On Monday, Aug. 4, John Christie, president of the Ski Museum of Maine, former general manager of Sugarloaf/USA and author of “The Story of Sugarloaf,” will share the story of the development and history of Sugarloaf/USA.

Christie will discuss Sugarloaf’s beginnings as a single, hand-cleared path up the mountain to a fully developed international ski and golfing resort of world renown. His book profiles people of international prominence, including Emile Allais, Jean Claude Killy, Billy Kidd and Les Otten.

The talk and book signing will begin at 7 p.m. at the Wilhelm Reich Museum. Admission is $10 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Refreshments will be served.
