BRUNSWICK – Ready for a bit of swashbuckling?

The Theater Project’s Teen Theater Camp will present the renowned adventures of D’Artagnan and his three compatriots, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, as they fight for king and country in “The Three Musketeers” Aug. 1, 2 and 3.

Nineteen local teens will bring the famous epic to the stage, from D’Artagnan’s arrival in Paris to his run-in with The Three Musketeers, to the devious trickery of Cardinal Richelieu and Milady de Winter; the sad plight of the beauteous Constance Bonacieux; attempted assassinations; plots and counterplots; and the final triumph of virtue over the forces of evil.

Theater Project Artistic Director Al Miller directs this production, assisted by Young Company graduates Karin Baard and Patrick McGuire. “Although the musketeers aren’t actually swinging from the chandeliers, they certainly are swashbuckling,” said Miller. “Patrick has been working with the musketeers, choreographing death-defying sword fights. Both he and Karin have done a terrific job helping to bring (Alexandre) Dumas’ epic story to life.”

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug., 1-2; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3. Tickets are $12, with reservations recommended. Call the box office at 729-8584, or visit the box office at 14 School St.
