Moose Mainea, Greenville, Moosehead Lake Region, honors the region’s favorite resident – “The Moose.” Events include Moose River Canoe Race, A Craft Fair, Kid’s Fun Day and Famous Moose Tales.

Old Port Festival: family activities, parade, music, entertainment, Maine made arts & crafts, cuisine from around the world. Old Port District, Downtown Portland.

The Spring Running, a river festival in Augusta. Mill Park and Old Fort Western. Many educational exhibits, fly tying, fly rod casting, fish displays, music, arts and crafts, and more. Bring canoes, kayaks or boats to enjoy the festivities.

Maine Blues Festival, Naples. Fun and refreshing summer kick-off.

Bowdoin International Music Festival with internationally-renowned artists in concert. Bowdoin College campus.

Kingfield POPS, Kennedy Farm, Route 142, Kingfield. Familiar and patriotic music, family activities, fireworks.

July

Liberty Festival, downtown Lewiston. Fireworks.

Bethel Art Fair has a varied selection of wall-hung art, sculpture, pottery, handmade fine jewelry, music, food, and more. Bethel Common.

Strawberry Festival has crafts, strawberries, and pie sales. Oquossoc Park, Rangeley.

Norway Arts Festival, Main Street, Norway.

Moxie Festival has music, entertainment, food, fireworks, bed race and carnival games. Downtown Lisbon Falls.

Maine Music Society’s Annual Garden Tour visits some of the finest private gardens of Lewiston, Auburn and the surrounding area.

Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival at Deertrees Theatre.

Bates Dance Festival Performance Series celebrates the diversity and creativity of contemporary dance with performances featuring African, postmodern, jazz, world dance and improvisation. Schaeffer Theatre, Bates College.

Yarmouth Clam Festival has a parade, free performances, juried craft show, art show, sports contests, carnival and variety of free family-oriented activities. Main St., Yarmouth.

Open Farm Day develops awareness of and educates the public about how their food, fiber and other agricultural products are produced. Over 100 farms across the state will be open to the public. Watch farm activities, see demonstrations and displays, taste samples, pet animals, see crops, farm-raised products for sale, barn tours and hay rides, refreshments.

Rangeley Logging Museum Festival Days & Parade includes a Miss Woodchip contest, Burying of the Bean-Hole Beans, Logger’s Hall of Fame, parade. Main St., Rangeley.

Maine Quilts Show, Augusta, presented by Pine Tree Quilters Guild, at the Augusta Civic Center. 500+ quilts, merchants mall, demonstrations, lectures, quilt appraisals.

August

Wilton Blueberry Festival has breakfast, music, fireworks, antique tractor pull and many new activities. Main St., Wilton.

Festival FrancoFun, Lewiston. Features cultural music, exhibitions, and foods at Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Produced by the Franco-American Heritage Center.

Back to the Past at Scribner’s Mill, Harrison. Celebration of old time saw mill and homestead activities. Featuring the 3rd Maine Civil War Reenacting Unit.

Cumberland Craft Show, Cumberland Fairgrounds, features over 325 talented artisans and craftspeople.

Sudbury Canada Days features crafts, art show, historical films, parade, games, refreshments, more. Regional History Center, 10-14 Broad Street, Bethel.

Maine Antiques Festival, features dealers from across the country offering a wide variety of antiques for sale from formal to folk art. Union Fairgrounds off Rt. 17.

Great Falls Balloon Festival
, Lewiston-Auburn. Tours of local places of interest, food, balloon launches, craft booths, carnival, fireworks and more!

Blueberry Festival, Rangeley Inn Green, Main Street, Rangeley. Jams, muffins, pies, gifts, and crafts.

Lewiston-Auburn Greek Festival
, Lewiston. Features Greek folk music, dancing, Greek foods, a bazaar, book store, and games for kids. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 155 Hogan Road.
