LEBANON, N.H. (AP) – A baby girl from Vermont allegedly beaten by her father last month has died.
Officials at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire say the 2-month-old Springfield, Vt., infant – whose name hasn’t been released – passed away Saturday.
Andrew Bedner, 28, of Springfield, Vt., is charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault. Police say he hit the baby in the head July 28 when she would not stop crying.
Windsor County State’s Attorney Robert Sand says no decision’s been made yet on whether to upgrade charges.
He says he’s waiting to see the girl’s medical records before deciding whether additional or different charges will be filed against Bedner.
