LEWISTON – A recent addition to Maine’s a cappella scene, SideCar Heroes will perform at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, in L/A Arts’ Music in the Parks concert series.
The performance will be in Fountain Park on Mill Street, in the Bates Mill Complex. If it rains, the concert will be at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St. Admission is free.
SideCar Heroes, a quintet based in southern Maine, is made up of members from previous vocal groups such as 6 Day Week, Fourtnight, The Maine Steiners and Audiologic.
“A cappella is such a fun form of musical expression,” said Tara Lagana, Music in the Parks coordinator. “It combines the joy of contemporary tunes and favorite standards with the sheer pleasure of singing with others.”
