Pet of the week

FARMINGTON – Bill arrived in mid July at the Franklin County Animal Shelter via the animal control officer from Wilton, looking rather disappointed to have been brought in.

During the first few days staff said Bill would stare at them like they had done something unspeakable. But with time and treats, he began to warm up, stopped staring and greeted them with a wagging tail.

Bill is a polite, neat dog who seems to like other dogs. His soft brown eyes offer unconditional love.

The shelter’s Flavor of the Month for August is Cookies and Cream, aka black and white cats, and Licorice (black) is September’s flavor, with an adoption fee of $35 verses $65 (full priced cat adoption). For more information, call 778-2638.
