Veterans’ Home employees awarded

SOUTH PARIS – Seven employees at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris were selected to receive employee of the year awards. Recipients were chosen by facility employees. Employees were given the opportunity to nominate employees of the year from different categories. Requirements included displaying a positive attitude, practicing excellent work ethics, promoting team involvement, and being an exemplary employee.

Ann Cook, RN, also was awarded the corporate-wide licensed nurse of the year award.

Award recipients were treated to a luncheon provided by the Calumet Club of Augusta and hosted by the central office of the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta. The luncheon was attended by the Maine Veterans’ Home board of directors, representatives from the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliaries and the Vietnam Veterans of America. Recipients were presented with recognition plaques as well as money awards.
