FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Animal Shelter Flavor for the Month of September is Licorice, which means the adoption fee for all black cats and kittens is $35.

Each month the shelter features a different “flavor” in order to assist in adoption of the many cats at the shelter.

Mrs. White is a medium-haired cat with the sophisticated black fur coat that is ready for all occasions. One year ago this month Mrs. White arrived as a kitten and has grown up at the shelter.

She has no idea what a television sounds like or a set of stairs to run up and down feels like. She is looking for someone to make her first anniversary her last at the shelter by giving her a forever home.

New dogs include an altered male black lab mix from Farmington.

Shelter staff will be at the Farmington Fair beginning Sunday, Sept. 14, at the race track end outside the exhibition hall. Try the treasure chest, pick up a T-shirt and check out visiting felines.
