LEWISTON – Sound Limbs Orthotics and Prosthetics, 39 South Lisbon Road, announces that Jami Morton, CO, recently completed training for the cranial remolding orthoses.

This custom cranial remolding orthosis is used to treat head shape deformities in infants 3 to 18 months of age. The molding technique focuses on redirecting cranial growth toward greater symmetry. It is accomplished by maintaining contact over the prominent areas of the head and allowing room for growth in the areas of flattening. The criteria and certification of continuing education maintains a high standard through national certifying bodies.

The certified orthotist is a member of a team of medical professionals that bring value to the overall treatment program with a strong background in anatomy, biomechanics and patient care.
