GREENE – The wedding of Sheryl Willette and Brian Oakes was held July 12 at the Sedgley Place in Greene. The Rev. Michael Pearson officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Eunice Craig of Durham. She was given in marriage by her son, Jeremy, and daughter, Renae. Ring bearer was Emma Craig, niece of the bride.
A reception followed at the Sedgley Place, after which the couple traveled to Prince Edward Island in Canada. They are residing in Augusta.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. She is director of guidance at Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. He is a retired educator at Livermore Falls Middle School.
