LEWISTON – The September Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast program will feature Richard Pattenaude, chancellor of the University of Maine system, who will speak to the issue of “Education and Economic Development: An Agenda for Action.”

The breakfast is sponsored by Northeast Bank and will be held at the Martindale Country Club on Beech Hill Road in Auburn at 7:15 a.m. Sept. 11. Call 783-2249 to reserve a spot. There is a nominal fee for attendance.

Pattenaude became chancellor in July 2007, after serving for 16 years as president of the University of Southern Maine. Prior to that, he served for five years as vice president for academic affairs at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain and another five years as associate vice president for academic affairs at the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Chamber members in the spotlight this month are Abracadabra Productions, The Maple Room, Reliv – Jacynthe Jacques, and United Way of Androscoggin County. Each spotlighter will showcase its business to attendees before and after the breakfast.
