LEWISTON – Advocates for Children is offering “Responding to Child Abuse,” a 45-hour course for educators, child care professionals and others who work with children.

“Responding to Child Abuse” provides participants the opportunity to learn more about current child abuse and neglect issues from professionals who present topics in their fields of expertise.

Topics include the legal system, protecting children on-line and medical perspectives of child abuse and neglect.

The course will be offered from 5:45 to 8:15 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 25 to Dec. 11, at Advocates for Children. Participants will receive 4.5 Continuing Education Units upon course completion.
