NORWAY – Western Maine Health officials announced recently that Scott Foster has been promoted to director of housekeeping and central sterile supply at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

For the last five years, Foster has been the coordinator of central sterile supply. In that role, he reconfigured the area, making it more user-friendly, added new sterilizers and other equipment, and updated and expanded systems for tracking sterility and quality. He is a certified sterile processing and distribution technician.

In his new role, he will oversee both the housekeeping department and central sterile supply. He can often be seen cleaning rooms, changing vents, and working side by side with staff in both departments. His goals include supporting staff in their efforts to exceed performance improvement targets.

Foster lives in Auburn with his wife and two sons.
