Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Jason R. Chaloux has returned to the 169th Military Company based in Brewer after being deployed to an overseas forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq.
Chaloux, a military policeman, has served in the military for 11 years. He is the son of Normand and Gloria Chaloux of Sabattus.
The Maine guardsman graduated in 2000 from Oak Hill High School, Wales, and received a degree in criminal justice in 2000 from Andover College, Portland.
