Me and my 110 lb doe shot with my bow

It was a beautiful fall day on Oct.3rd, my second time out. I got in my treestand around

3:00 p.m. and settled in to wait for the deer to come out beside me. Around 4:15 p.m. I did some calling with a Primo original bleat can call. About 30 mins. later I did a few grunt calls. At 5:15 p.m. I used the can call again followed several mins. later with a few grunt calls. At

6:05 p.m. I looked to my left and out came a nice doe, behind her was a 2-1/2 yr. old buck. He did not come out but stayed on the edge of the tree line and let the doe come out first. I really wanted to get the buck but I went for the doe because I was losing day light fast. The wind was in my favor as she came out and turned away from me which allowed me to stand up in my treestand. She turned to look in my direction and had her nose up doing a scent check. She turned around as to leave the way she came but I said to myself she will be back. Again the same thing happened, she came back out. I thought a few times she was going to drop and run but she continued walking across the clearing and gave me a great broadside shot. She was 20 yds from me at 6:15 p.m. when I took the perfect shot and she only ran 30 yds. I was so excited that I could only wait 5 mins. before I got out of my treestand. As I crossed the clearing to find my trophy the buck had circled around me and was 40 yds from where the doe dropped. I walked to a nearby house to call the land owners that gave me permission to hunt and they came and helped me drag her out. For the ladies out there, the equipment I used was blue Jennings Rackmaster Lite set at 40 lbs. of draw weight. I was using a 1913 aluminum arrow tipped with Muzzy 75 grain 3-blade broadhead with an arrow speed of only 198 fps. I have shot two deer with my bow and had a complete pass thru each time!!!
