LEWISTON – L/A Arts’ Gallery 5 Artist Talk Friday, Sept. 26, will feature visual artist Pamela Johnson, whose works are displayed in this month’s exhibit, “Two Painters.”
Johnson’s studio production includes oil and acrylic paintings, intaglio and digital prints, drawings and watercolors, handmade paper, books, mirrors and snow globes. Associate professor of art and visual culture at Bates College, she has exhibited widely in the United States and in Italy.
Johnson interweaves mechanical reproductions and meticulous drawings with abstract and nonrepresentational painting, printmaking, text and poetry.
