Contractors from several local and regional companies work together to construct a massive hangar next to the terminal at the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport. The $2 million hangar – twice the size of any other at the airport – will shelter technicians who are working on the restoration of a 1950s-era Super Constellation Starliner aircraft. After that, the 27,000-square-foot hangar will be available for lease. Owner George Schott expects the project will be finished by mid-Novmber. ÒWe have to get them in before the snow flies,Ó he said.
