Lodge supper
CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30. All master Masons are welcome. Whitney Lodge has the traveling gavel.
Class luncheon
RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Teena’s Restaurant.
Cemetery cleanup
PERU – The Demerritt Cemetery Association requests that all decorations be removed from the cemetery by Saturday, Oct. 11, in preparation of the fall cleanup. Seasonal decorations must be removed immediately after Halloween. The cleanup will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, for anyone wishing to help.
Scout meeting
DIXFIELD – Girl Scouts of Maine will hold a parent information and registration meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Ludden Memorial Library.
Girls will be able to register for Girl Scouts and find out about activities taking place in the community.
The registration fee to become a member is $10, payable by check. Financial assistance is available. Girl Scouts of Maine also has volunteer options for adults.

4-H enrollment
PARIS – The 2008 4-H year is closing and open enrollment has started. Existing members and leaders will need to complete new enrollment forms before Jan. 1.
Those interested in enrolling in 4-H for the coming year should contact Susan Jennings at the Oxford County Extension Office, 9 Olson Road, Paris, or call 743-6329 to find out how to get involved.
Four-H is a hands-on project-based program designed to engage students in enrichment activities and is part of the Youth Development Program for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
