PARIS – David Mallett, known throughout the country as one of the finest folk singers and songwriters of our time, will appear in concert Saturday, Oct. 11, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Auditorium.

Proceeds will benefit the Western Foothills Land Trust in its purchase of the 155-acre parcel know as Roberts Farm in Norway.

Mallett’s “The Garden Song,” his most covered and well-known composition, has been labeled one of the 50 greatest American folk songs of all time.

Mallet is married to Jayne Lello, a Norway native who graduated from OHHS in 1970.

The concert will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets, $20, are available at Books N Things, Creative Media, The Maine Bookhouse and The Village Gift Barn in Norway and Casco; at Bridgton Books in Bridgton; and online at www.wfltmaine.org.
