Emily Rose and Christopher Bell are two singer-songwriters coming together on a tour of the East Coast this fall. They will stop in Maine to perform Saturday, Oct. 4, at the restaurant/cafe She Doesn’t Like Guthries on Middle Street in Lewiston. Pairing Rose’s soulful, sultry singing with Bell’s multi-instrumentalist talent, the two perform a mix of folk, country and rock. They flesh out each other’s songs with an alternating cast of instruments, including guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica, plus vocal harmonies. Rose spent the last two years in Detroit, opening for national acts such as Matthew Goode and self-releasing three EPs. In addition, she was recently on a book/music tour with author Ron Papandrea. Bell has been on two different U.S. tours after releasing “I’ll Be Home” on Silent Home Records. Their show will begin at 9 p.m. There is no cover.
