AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a series of courses for propane and natural gas technicians beginning Saturday, Oct. 25. All courses in the series will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
“Basic Principles and Practices” will run from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1. It is a prerequisite to the other courses in the series and the fee is $395.
The other courses are “Appliance Installation,” Nov. 3 to 15, and “Appliance Service,” Nov. 17 to Dec. 4. The two courses are $450 each. “Distribution Systems” will run Dec. 6 to Jan. 3 and the fee is $695.
Prices include the cost of books and the state licensing exam, which will be administered during the last session of each class. Anthony Leclair, who is licensed by the Maine Propane and Natural Gas Board, will teach all four courses.
