The moratorium adopted by the Lewiston City Council on Tuesday prohibits these new uses within the designated downtown district:

Boarding house; building and construction contractors; commercial bakeries; congregate care/assisted living facilities; family day-care homes; fully enclosed automotive services; recycling and reprocessing facilities; gas stations; group care facilities; hospitals and medical clinics; industrial and light industrial uses; in-law apartments; lumber and building materials dealer; mortuary or funeral parlors; motor freight transportation facilities; nursing or convalescent homes; printing facilities; religious facilities and church-affiliated community purpose facilities; research or testing labs; water supply uses; self-storage facilities; single-family attached dwellings; student dorms; transit and ground transportation facilities; transportation facilities; wholesale, warehouse and distribution facilities.
