CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) – A New Hampshire woman has written a book about a little-known service that uses interpreters for telephone conversations.
Nataly Kelly says her book describes the growing importance of remote, phone-based interpretation. The book published this week is “Telephone Interpreting: A Comprehensive Guide to the Profession.”
Kelly says people who need help understanding a different language can dial an interpreter to translate.
She will be in Cambridge on Friday at a conference of the International Medical Interpreters Association.
