NORWAY – Decorating Main Street has begun for the fifth annual Norway Halloween Fest.

Children and adults are encouraged to dress up for the occasion from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Everyone is welcome regardless of residence.

The fest will start at Norway Memorial Library with healthy snacks, crafts and ghost stories. Trick or treat bags will be provided by the Norway Police Department and there will be scavenger hunt sheets.

The journey up and down Main Street to trick or treat and scavenger hunt is a mile. At participating businesses people will meet with Cat in the Hat, Baxter, Samantha the Skunk, Belle and Snow White. Surprises will await along with games, goodies, dance demonstrations and sing-a-longs with the Toe, Tap and Dance Studio and music by the ‘Yet To Be Named Banjo Club.’

The fest is a collaborative effort among the Norway Recreation Department, Norway Memorial Library, Norway Downtown and Norway Businesses with help from many other individuals and organizations.
