AUGUSTA (AP) – A woman from East Waterboro is going to jail for 90 days for using fraud to obtain welfare benefits.
Attorney General Steve Rowe says April Archer obtained the benefits by concealing the fact that she was employed and earning income.
Rowe says applicants who seek to defraud public benefit programs are stealing from taxpayers and honest recipients alike.
