LEWISTON – Richard and Connie Godin of Lewiston recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering at the Sedgley Place in Greene. Party hosts were children of the couple and their spouses, Diane and Dan Letourneau, Elaine and Dave Audet, Dan Godin, Michelle and Jude Binette, Tom Godin and Mike Godin.

The centerpiece consisted of Stargazer lilies, white roses, lilacs and lilies of the valley. Michael Godin was the toastmaster.

Mr. Godin and the former Constance Berube were married May 30, 1958, at St. Louis Church in Auburn. In addition to their children, their grandchildren are Erica (Letourneau) Dionne, Lisa and Greg Letourneau, Lindsay and Justin Binette, Shannon and Andrea Godin, Jordan, Ryan and Nicholas Godin and Malcolm Audet.

Mrs. Godin was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital from 1979 to 1994. She is a member of Holy Family Parish and the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the parish.

Mr. Godin was employed as an agent for 25 years at Prudential Insurance Co. and is also a member of Holy Family Parish.

Original wedding attendants present were Wilfred Godin, best man, Pauline Bergeron, maid of honor, Paul Goulet, usher and Therese Chamaillard and Marguerite Goulet, bridesmaids.

Guests attended from Florida, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire and California.
