ANDOVER – On Saturday, Oct. 25, the town will host the Ellis River Festival. Highlights include a public supper and bake sale put on by the Cornucopia Kingdom to raise money for the Andover Food Pantry.

The bake sale will be at the First Congregational Church; the public supper, which begins at 5 p.m., will be at the Town Hall.

In addition, Pennacook Art Center will hold an art show at the Town Hall. Paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture by PAC members will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. Pennacook Art Center’s second annual palette auction fundraiser will also be held during the festival.

Wooden artists’ palettes decorated by members of Pennacook Art Center, their students and other area artists will be sold to the highest bidder in a silent auction. Palettes are on display at River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, 94 River St. in Rumford. You may leave a bid there during office hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

On Oct. 25, the palettes will be displayed at 9 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Andover as part of the festival and bake sale. The auction will end after the supper in the Town Hall that evening. Winners will be announced at that time.
